Rowheels' REV WHEELS is covered by insurance, including Medicare, the VA, and private insurance through HCPSC billing code E2227. Reimbursement documents can be filled out by either a DME ATP, medical staff/Therapist or the patient. Currently, REV wheels are compatible with most models of manual wheelchairs from Quickie, TiLite, Invacare/Top End, Colours, Motion Composites, Per4Max (everyday) and Ki Mobility. If you have a chair from a different manufacturer, read through the COMPATIBILITY CHECK section below.
In order for REV wheels to function properly, our universal frame clamp latches must be installed on the wheelchair’s frame. If the chair to be used has a tubular frame with a diameter between 0.75” (19.05mm) and1.375” (34.93mm), our clamps will work. Secondly, our axle lengths need to be compatible with the chair's axle receiver length. Currently we accommodate 5 axle receiver lengths; 2", 2.1", 2.2", 2.3", 2.4" and 2.5". Watch the videos below to learn how to properly take those frame and axle measurements and see how the universal frame clamp latches are mounted.
